Mandarin II Syllabus

Mandarin II reinforces what has been taught in Mandarin I and continues to stress development of basic communicative skills. Major themes for this year are: Making Appointment, Studying Language, School Life, Shopping, Weather, and Transportation.

Learner Outcomes

After the completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Set an agreeable time for appointment over the phone
- Discuss studying habits for mastery of a language
- Describe one’s daily life
- Inquire colors, sizes and negotiating prices

- Describe weather
- Read and listen to weather reports
- Give directions and describe traveling route
- Use the Internet as a resource for research and self-study.
