| The United Republic of Tanzania is located on the East coast of Africa and is mainly made up of Rainforests and Mountains. The most famous is the extinct Volcano Mt. Kilimanjaro. Tanzania has a population of about 31.3 million people and an area of 945 thousand square kilometers. Environment: \ Tanzania's environment is very similar to that of Kenya. Temperatures range between 20 and 40. Its landscape consists of mountains, forests, and the great plains in which a variety of animals live. Also good for safari' s.
When to Go: The time when most tourists visit is between January and February. The dry season is any time between June and September. And the rainy seasons are between March and May and October and December. Like Kenya

Culture: Tanzania's culture is comprised of over 100 different native ethnic groups with a bit of an Arab and European influence. Each ethnic group has its own uniqueness and similarities. The largest religion here is Islam which is followed by Christianity. The main languages spoken are Swahili and English.
History: Traces of civilization here date back to about 1800 BC. Europeans settled here in the 17century. The Germans colonized first, then the British. During this period, Arab influence was also being introduced. In 1961, Tanzania gained independence from the British and has been an independent republic ever since.
Analysis: Tanzania is very much like Kenya, with the same landscape and temperatures. Except Tanzania has 1 more attraction, the extinct volcano Mt. Kilimanjaro.
