Limitations

Upload to YouTube Only
YouTube restricts submission to 10 minutes long and under 100 MB in file size.

You cannot submit directly to VirtualFFHK. Please create your own account on YouTube (or an account for your school) and send us the url of your uploaded video. We will add your film to the VirtualFFHK channel as a "favorite"! Visit VFF Favorites often to rate and comment on new submissions.

Copyright/Permission

YouTube may deny your upload if you use copyrighted music. You are responsible to obtain permission for all copyrighted content (audio and visual) in your film.

Procedure

Once you have uploaded your film to YouTube (only), send the URL to rfriedericks@hkis.edu.hk. Your film will be added to the VirtualFFHK channel on YouTube where it will be visited and rated and commented upon by a global audience.

When you upload your films to youtube add the following tags in addition to your own:

- VirtualFFHK
- Virtual Film Festival
- VFF
- 2008

Once we have the url for your film, we will add it to the VirtualFFHK Channel and add the link to this Website under your film's category. We will list you as a participant and feature your school, too. Check the Submissions page!

Be sure and tell us the following information for a complete listing on the Submissions Page:

- Your Name & Age
- The Title of your submission & the Length
- The Category you want to enter
- What School you attend

Judging

The first round of assessment will be the number of YouTube visits to your film, the rating it receives from visitors and the kinds of comments it gets. This round will help narrow the number of films for our final judges to review.

Our judges will be announced soon and will be selected from a list of previously involved professionals in the media community of Hong Kong and media teachers from international schools and colleges in Asia.

Need a publicity poster for your school? Open here! Save it and print!
