ANNOUNCEMENTS
STUDENTS: Please note that
come late privileges HAVE NOT BEGUN.
If
you have a study period at the start of a school day, you must still be at
school for a 7:50 start (except Day 8 : 8:50 am).
Any
student arriving late to school without a valid reason will run the risk
of not having those privileges for the entire year.
Forms
for parents to approve privileges will go home in the near future, but until
you are advised by me, NO PRIVILEGES ARE YET IN PLACE.
GRADE 12s: Please be on time at
2:40 on Monday coming Aug 25 for the first community meeting for the year.
There
are some important College issues that will be discussed.

SERVICE RETREAT TO BOROCAY, PHILIPPINES
Join a trip to meet
the needs of the poor on the beautiful island of Borocay. Help build a
community center and participate in children's community programs
organized by the Christian ministry called "On the Rock

South
China Morning Post offers special subscription packages to students and
teachers throughout the school year. If you are interested in subscribing the
newspaper at HK$1.60 per copy, see Miss Ng in the High School Library before
27th of August (Wednesday noon).
SPORTS
Table
Tennis: Try-outs will be held in the high
school cafeteria on Aug. 28th and 29th at 3.15pm. We will be practicing at Chaiwan
on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All boys and girls are welcome! Mr. Ma and Mrs.

A GREAT SEASON STARTS TOMORROW - Girl's Volleyball A and B teams will be holding tryouts this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday beginning at 3:20. Be there on time, dressed to play with proper shoes and knee pads. Wednesday and Friday in the HS gym, Thursday in the MS gym.
SOCCER: All HS Girls
interested in soccer this year. Please come to a short meeting this
Friday (Aug 22) in room 509 during meeting time (2:40 to
3:10).

First practice of the season is on Monday 25th at
3:15 PM in the weights room. Please come down and see what it is all about. We
have a packed season ahead of us with over a dozen ISSFHK meets culminating in
the Asia Pacific Invitational in Guam on October 25th.

JB Boys Volleyball
Players
interested in playing for the JV Boys Volleyball team should come to our final
tryout sessions Monday, Aug. 25th 4:45-6:15pm and Tuesday Aug. 26th
3:15-4:45pm. Both practices will be in the HS gym. No previous experience
necessary, just a desire to be a part of a team and to learn the sport of
volleyball.
