The HKIS Booster Club is a non-profit parent volunteer organization that strives to increase parental involvement in school activities, stimulate fellowship, heighten school spirit and establish sports traditions. As a parent of an HKIS student, you are automatically a member of the Booster Club.

With the help of many parent volunteers, the Booster Club operates the Dragon Shop. Besides uniform apparel for all four divisions, the shop sells stationery items, giftware and spirit items. Income earned from the shop's sales is allocated to athletic and extra-curricular student clubs and organizations throughout HKIS.

Dear Parents,

As President of the Booster Club, I look forward to another amazing year building school spirit and strengthening the non-academic offerings at HKIS.

In the past, we have focused mainly on the High School and Middle School. We are now delighted to be adding Upper Primary and Lower Primary Schools to our spirit activities and including them in our annual allocations process.

Every year, the Booster Club takes the proceeds from the previous year’s Dragon Shop sales and supports the students’ extracurricular activities.  Last year, we proudly allocated approximately $400,000.  This covered a range of items from a new flat-screen TV for LPS to Jazz Band equiptment for HS and MS. We also purchased outside sitting for HS and MS. New uniforms for the UPS Christmas Choir were covered by the allocations process. Our support of the HKIS athletics’ program continued with the purchase of all the traveling uniforms and sports bags for the athletes and performing arts participants and supporting the school mascot "Torch". We provided funding for the sports banquets during this school year. SOS groups received across-the-board funding from us. Finally, Middle School benefited with the purchase of house banners and house colored umbrellas as well as equipment for MS drama productions. We were also thrilled to be able to provide funding for a large number of MS clubs.
