HKIS has been blessed with exceptional
technology resources. The school is committed to active student and community
access to these resources. The acceptable use of technology is rooted in
deep values of integrity and honor towards all members of the HKIS community.
As a member of this community, please follow the guidelines listed below when
publishing to the DragonNet.
- Use the DragonNet only for community and
educational purposes.
- At all times take into account the rights of
others.
- Avoid using offensive or inappropriate
language; sending or displaying offensive pictures; harassing, insulting or
attacking others; or sending messages that violate the law.
- Do not plagiarize or make use of information
without giving due credit.
- For the safety of students and others, never
give out personal information such as home address or telephone numbers. For
students in the lower primary, upper primary and middle schools, use the
school or teacher's e-mail address instead of the student's, and only use
the student's first name.
- Take this opportunity to be creative.
New ideas, thoughts and learning can benefit the entire community!
These guidelines are separate from issues of
vandalism. Those who intentionally hack into the network facilities, destroy
files, damage equipment or alter software will be dealt with immediately.
The potential damage to a critical component of the community is immense and
cannot be permitted.
