HKIS and Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Our 40-year relationship with LCMS has been a rich partnership, some highlights which are set forth in the following document (click here). In recent years, HKIS has shared facilities and human resources with the Church of All Nations (CAN), collaborated with the LCMS on various service activities and provided cash collateral for a loan to start Concordia School in Shanghai.   

HKIS does not transfer any funds that we receive from tuition, donations or otherwise to CAN or the LCMS.  The Board Managers is committed to ensuring interactions with the HKIS' strategic partners are handled transparently with the best interests of HKIS as the touchstone for decision-making.  The "Operating Agreement" between HKIS and the LCMS is found here.
