 Co-curricular Programs are offered at HKIS to provide students a broad range of activities that complement the academic program and support growth in the Student Learning Results (SLR's), nurture empowerment, competence, belonging and a sense of community.

HKIS defines co-curricular as programs and activities that complement but are not part of the regular curriculum and are sponsored by HKIS. The program is intentionally divided into two streams, an Activities and Clubs stream and an Athletics and Sports stream.


HKIS ACTIVITIES OFFICE
Promotes and organizes activities as part of the HKIS co-curricular program, with opportunities for students to pursue personal interests, hobbies and enrichment classes after school.These classes mostly cater to Lower and Upper Primary students, with some classes for Middle and High school students. The majority of classes are held during the week in Repulse Bay.

There are two types of After School Activities (ASA’s) offered over two terms, they include:

1.     Paid After School Activities  (R2 and above)

2.     USA Girl and Boy Scouts (R2 and above)


MIDDLE SCHOOL CLUBS & ACTIVITIES 
Middle School Clubs and Activities are coordinated through the Middle School Office and are taught by Middle School Faculty. The program provides academic as well as non-academic opportunities that are open to all Middle School Students. Activities range from Poetry to Jazz, Intramurals, Theater and many more. HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS & ACTIVITIES
The High School Student Life office coordinates High School Clubs and Activities held during school and after school hours between 3pm and 4pm. Student Life clubs and activities are taught by High School Faculty and include Global Environment & Service Awareness, Publications, Fine Arts & Performing Arts, Special Interests, Math & Science, Student Leadership Opportunities and Service on Saturday (SOS).

 
HKIS JUNIOR ATHLETICS OFFICE
The Junior Athletics Office promotes and organizes recreational, development and competitive sports activities as part of the HKIS co-curricular program. Catering to students prior to the senior Athletics program, which begins at the U14/ C grade level. The program encourages and facilitates the development of healthy habits through activities where the emphasis is on athlete development, good sportsmanship, fair play, and discipline.
 

HKIS ATHLETICS OFFICE
The HKIS Athletic Department provides a competitive sports program for students in 7th – 12th Grade. HKIS also hosts and participates in a wide variety of competitive athletic events. Our Student Athletes participate in the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation (HKSSF), the International Schools Sports Federation Hong Kong (ISSFHK), the Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC), and a number of tournaments both local and International. Teams participate in each of these based on seasonal schedules and available opportunities.
